Set up your studio details and letterhead

3 minute read·Updated 1 October 2026

A few details are set once, in Settings, and then used on every project link, email, quote and invoice.

1Your studio, as clients see it

In Settings → Studio, add your studio name, the kind of work you do, your city or address and your contact details. The studio name is what clients see on every project link and email. Only a studio owner can change these.

The same page has four switches for the whole studio:

  • Ask clients to approve designs: turn approvals on or off for every project.
  • Watermark new projects: new projects start with your name across every image.
  • Let the team leave notes on images: team notes only your studio sees.
  • Clients see each other’s notes: on, everyone on a project sees every client’s notes and your replies; off, each client sees only their own.

2What goes on quotes and invoices

In Settings → Quotes & invoices, add your legal name as registered for GST, your GSTIN, address and website, and upload your logo. Your GSTIN is needed for tax invoices, and it sets your state, so Plott knows when to charge CGST and SGST or IGST.

Under Where clients pay, add your account name, bank and branch, account number and, if you like, a UPI ID. They print on the footers that show bank details. Plott never handles the money.

3Letterheads, numbers and terms

Keep a few headers and footers, say a formal one for quotes and a lighter one for small invoices, and choose one on each quote or invoice.

  • Invoice prefix and Quote prefix: invoices are numbered in one series per financial year, from 001 each April; quotes in one series per calendar year. Drafts don’t take a number.
  • Usual SAC code: 998391 is interior design services. Each line can differ.
  • Usual terms on a quote: one per line. Every new quote starts with these.
Tip: Only an owner or someone in Accounts can change quote and invoice settings.
