Share a Google Drive folder with Plott
Plott shows your client the designs in a Google Drive folder you already use. There’s nothing to upload: you share the folder once, and new files show up on their own.
1Share the folder as a Viewer
In Google Drive, open the project folder’s Share menu and add Plott’s address as a Viewer. Plott shows you the address to use when you connect the folder. Viewer is all it needs: Plott can only read your folder.
2Paste the folder’s link
Open the folder in Drive and copy the address from your browser bar, then paste it into the project’s Google Drive folder setting. Paste the folder’s link, not a single file’s.
3Keep it up to date
New files and new versions appear on the client link by themselves. To pick them up straight away, press Check for new files on the project.
Tip: Nothing in your Drive is ever copied, renamed or deleted. If you stop using Plott, your files are exactly where they were.
